Wolfe Bowart’s The WoBo Show returns to the S&S! Join us for four shows in our Season 8 series for an enchanting theatre creation from Wolfe Bowart, the creator and actor behind such zany, magical works as Cloud Soup, LaLaLuna, OAF, and One Twig at a Time. Enjoyed by audiences the world over, Wolfe’s shows are theatrical experiences that evoke thought, wonder, and laughter — a joyful celebration of oddity, creating dreamlike sequences that inspire delight.
Acrobatics, juggling, magic, and all of Wolfe's tricks of the trade will surprise and charm audiences of all ages. Newly created physical theater using mime, clown, circus arts and all of Bowart's tricks of the trade with feature next to beloved scenes from Wolfe’s award-winning theater works that have toured to 25 countries worldwide.

The WoBo Show: Show Number Two stars Wolfe Bowart and Xochitl Martinez, with guest artist Matt Walley reprising his titular role as the carnival strongman from 2018’s smash hit OAF. During OAF’s original run, Arizona Daily Star theater critic Kathy Allen wrote: “It’s clever and witty and engrossing … the joy is in watching Walley, who is a talented physical clown. His face contorts, his body bends, his hands tell captive tales.”

Okay, enough blowing hot air -- our February 3rd show is about AIR, WIND, CLOUDS and MORE! Along with the tried-and-true lunacy of Wolfe Bowart and Xochitl Martinez, this month's WoBo Show welcomes movement maven Lorie Heald. Lorie has studied with Marcel Marceau, Polish mime Stephan Neidzialkowski, and Anne Bogart. She has toured with Alithea Mime Theatre, and with Theatrical Mime Theatre throughout North America, Puerto Rico, Poland, China, and Macedonia. Lorie has also contributed her artistic design talents to Scoundrel & Scamp shows such as Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins (2020) and POOH (2022).

This stunning intergenerational cast explores sleep, dreams, and lost letters in a quirky circus-infused theatrical extravaganza. See people sleeping upside down, waltzing teddy bears and flying violins, and — just possibly — the return of the invisible dog.
