Late Night Radio Hour PRESENTS

THE WAR OF THE WORLDS
A Radio Play
October 14th, 2023 @ 10 PM

by H.G. Wells, adapted by Howard Koch
On October 30, 1938, radio listeners across the country heard an astonishing report of mysterious creatures and terrifying war machines moving toward New York City. But the grisly broadcast was not a real newscast—it was an adaptation of the H.G. Wells classic The War of the Worlds. Now, in the timeless space of the theatrical stage, humankind will once again fight to protect themselves against alien invaders.

The Late Night Radio Hour is a new series at the S&S produced and directed by Samantha Severson. The three play series will take place in front of a live audience and will be presented in a “Golden Age of Radio” style. The experience is be augmented by an on-stage Sound Artist performing foley live in front of the theater audience.
