An aviator crashes her plane into the Sahara desert and encounters a mysterious little prince from a distant planet. The two strangers, each far from home, share adventures and become friends. A new ensemble-based, physical theatre adaptation of the beloved classic story for children and grown ups who can remember that they were children once.

Holly Griffith
Holly Griffith is directing her 3rd production at Scoundrel & Scamp, having previously directed Brian Friel's Lovers and Finegan Kruckemeyer's This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing. She also teaches theatre for youth at Scoundrel, and acting at the University of Arizona. Holly is an Artistic Associate and member of the Resident Ensemble next door at The Rogue Theatre, where she has acted in over 25 productions. She holds an MA in English Literature from the University of Arizona. Holly would like to dedicate her work on The Little Prince to the people of Dayton Ohio, a city of artists and aviators.
Claire Marie Mannle
Claire Marie Mannle is an actor, writer and director, At The Scoundrel & Scamp she directed Eurydice and Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play and performed in The Yellow Wallpaper. Outside of the S&S her recent directing work includes an adaptation of Euripides’ The Bacchae (SITI Company’s Skidmore Intensive) and Nor Any Drop to Drink, a devised play about water issues in the Southwest (UA Studio Series). As an actor, she has performed around town in King Lear, The Grapes of Wrath, Macbeth, and The White Snake at The Rogue Theatre and in The Tempest andThe Comedy of Errors for Arizona Repertory Theatre. She is an Instructor for the School of Theatre, Film, and Television at The University of Arizona. A New York City native raised in the Midwest, she came to Tucson via Los Angeles where she worked with The Grand Guignolers, Cornerstone Theater Company, A Noise Within, The Antaeus Academy, and SITI Company. She has her MFA from the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theater and her BA from Smith College.
Felíz Torralba
Felíz Torralba returns to The Scoundrel and Scamp for their 3rd season after playing Albienne in This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing and assistant directing Every Brilliant Thing. Felíz has worked as an actor, choreographer, director, and musician at Borderlands Theatre over the last decade. More recently, she has taken part in founding Taming of the Review, a theatre reviewing platform run by women (tamingofthereview.com). Felíz enjoys spending time with loved ones, gardening, recording music, and being an active member of our beautiful Tucson community. Felíz would like to thank her family, Andy Gonzalez, Marissa Garcia for showering her with love and wisdom.
Kathleen Cannon
Kate couldn’t be happier that her third show with Scoundrel & Scamp is the beautiful story of The Little Prince. She was last seen at Scoundrel & Scamp as Eurydice (Mac Award nomination) and Bun in The Love Talker. She has performed locally with the Rogue Theatre most recently as Mercy Lewis in The Crucible and Goneril in King Lear. Other favorite roles include Marc Antony in Julius Caesar (Powerhouse Theatre) and Laura Wingfield in the Glass Menagerie (Arizona Repertory Theatre). Kate also writes and produces films. Her most recent project was shot in Marbella, Spain.
Ryuto Adamson
Ryuto Adamson will be performing in his 2nd show with Scoundrel and Scamp, his first being Eurydice as the Nasty Interesting Man/ Lord of the Underworld. He graduated in 2018 from the U of A with a BA in theatre performance and minors in Japanese and Business. and has worked at Stories That Soar!, The Studio Series at the U of A, and Fringe Festival. He has performed in Japan and Manila with Theatre Group Gumbo as well. Favorite performances include Endgame, Three Sisters, Conversation, Will You Swear Your True Love, Eurydice, Mr. Burns, and Nor Any Drop to Drink.
Julia Balestracci
Julia most recently appeared in Blood Wedding and Eurydice during Scoundrel and Scamp’s 2018-19 season. An East Coast transplant, she has been involved in the performing arts in many capacities over the years, from acting and puppetry, as an original member of Brooklyn theater company Drama of Works, to various forms of folk music and dance, to ensemble and solo performances singing operatic, classical, and early music repertoire. She has performed at diverse venues including the Brooklyn Museum of Art, Harvard University, Avery Fisher Hall, HERE Arts Center, and at various festivals. Julia has a M.M. in voice from Longy School of Music of Bard College, and a BA in Theater Studies from Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts at The New School.
Gabriella De Brequet
Gabriella has been seen on The Scoundrel and Scamp stage in Salomé, (Salomé) Mr. Burns (Jenny), The Love Talker (The Red Head), and This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing (Beatrix). She has also been seen locally at The Rogue Theatre in Arcadia (Thomasina), Jerusalem (Tanya), Dante’s Purgatorio (Angel), The Bridge of San Luis Rey (Pepita) as well as The Invisible Theatre in Now and Then (Abby). Last season Gabriella worked with Arizona Theatre Company on The Music Man in both Tucson and Phoenix serving as the Youth Supervisor for the child actors. Nicole DelPrete
Nicole DelPrete is currently a junior studying Theatre and Creative Writing at the University of Arizona. She is very thankful that this is her third show with Scoundrel and Scamp. Previously, Nicole played Carmen in This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing and Wife in Blood Wedding here at Scoundrel and Scamp. Recent productions she has been a part of would be: Three Sisters (Natasha), Flowers for Algernon (Alice Kinnian), Big Love (Thyona), and The Rimers of Eldritch (Patsy). She also is a part of the Charles Darwin Experience, an improv troupe at University of Arizona. She would like to thank her family and friends for their loving support.
Lance Guzman
Lance Guzman is on his 3rd season with Scoundrel and Scamp. He played in Salome, Mr. Burns: a post-electric play, and Blood Wedding. Other stage works he has been involved in are The University of Arizona productions of This Heart in My Mouth is Called Home, Giants Have Us in Their Books and Mother of Exiles. He has also been seen in The Rogue Theatre productions of Dutchman, Enemy of the People, and the upcoming Moby Dick. Not only does he act on stage but he also has appeared in film for the University and the New York Film Academy. He is a University of Arizona graduate with a BA in Theatre Arts and a student of the Phil Bennett Theatre Lab. Lance loves making music, boxing training, and studying astronomy.
Cole Potwardowski
Cole Potwardowski starts his Scoundrel & Scamp debut with The Little Prince followed by Cloud Tectonics in November. Local credits include 20th Century Blues (Invisible Theatre), Much Ado About Nothing / The Grapes of Wrath (The Rogue Theatre), Buried Child (Winding Road Theater Ensemble), and Luna Gale (St. Francis Theater). He holds an associates in theater from Pima Community College and performed in their 2014-2015 and 2016-2017 seasons. He is finishing his bachelors in theater at the University of Arizona, where he wrote, acted, directed, and dramaturged for their Studio Series shows. He won the 2019 Undergraduate Research Symposium Scholarship for his essay “Acting and Spirituality.”
Gretchen Wirges
Gretchen Wirges is so excited to be appearing in her second production at Scoundrel & Scamp, having played "Big Stone" in Sarah Ruhl's Eurydice last season. Gretchen has acted, directed and written for many of the stages in Tucson. Favorite productions include Snoopy! The Musical! (Peppermint Patty), Kitchen, Spaceship, Chinese Theater, and Eurydice. She looks forward to bringing characters to life at 5 different theaters this coming season, including the upcoming production of her original script Mona Lisa on the Loose in Live Theater Workshop's family series. Gretchen is also a seasoned improviser, currently performing nationally at festivals with her improv duo, Ex-Boyfriend and directing the troupe Unwritten that perform an improvised full-length play.
Bryan Rafael Falcón
Bryan is Co-founder and Artistic Director at the Scoundrel & Scamp Theatre. Bryan is an award-winning director (MFA Directing, Western Illinois, 2001) and tech entrepreneur with a passion for both education and building and scaling successful organizations.
At the S&S Bryan has directed Two Plays for Lost Souls: The Love Talker & The Yellow Wallpaper, Oscar Wilde's Salomé and A Public Reading of an Unproduced Screenplay About the Death of Walt Disney, for which he won the 2017 Arizona Daily Star Mac Award for Best Director.
Bryan served as Artistic Director for two Indiana-based theatre companies, New World Arts and the Backporch Theatre Company. He served as a director and set designer for numerous shows, including The Carthaginians, Lysistrata, Cloud Tectonics, Night Mother, Bug, Marisol, Love Letters, Comedy of Errors, Twelfth Night, The Taming of the Shrew, and Romeo and Juliet.
In Tucson, Bryan has directed at The Rogue Theatre, including The New Electric Ballroom and Awake and Sing. He was recognized as Best Director (2012 Arizona Daily Star Mac Award) for the show The Night Heron.
Bryan serves as Chair of the Tucson-based Southwest Folklife Alliance, and as a board member at The Rogue Theatre.
Karin Beatty
Karin Beatty created in New York City costumes for stage productions in a wide array of venues including Broadway, new plays, musical revues, ballet, opera and film. In California and Arizona, she was worked with Southwest Shakespeare Co. on Merry Wives of Windsor, which won the AriZonie Theatre Award, and with Sedona Shakespeare Festival. Frugal Repast with Abingdon Theatre Company (NYC) won Best Costume Design at the Abie Awards. She studied fashion design and fine arts at the Pratt Institute and sculpture at the Art Student League in NYC. She maintains a couture design studio for private clients (special occasion and bridal design). Thank you for such a wonderful theatre company and all the talented people I have to work with.
Heidi Peden
Heidi Peden is delighted to join The Scoundrel & Scamp Theatre as Prop Designer for The Little Prince. Heidi has worked in many fields of theatre for over 16 years; acting, directing, stage make-up, electrics, prop design, set design, and more. She also works with Arizona Opera and for the IATSE ~ Broadway in Tucson in electrics and in props. When she lived in Califonia Heidi won 2 awards for best stage makeup and for 1 award for best set design. She also enjoyed working with Solano Community College in their Youth Theatre Department as Assistant Director and Stage Manager. Heidi is an art history major and is from her beloved town of Paradise, California.
Raulie Martinez
Raulie is excited to be returning to The Scoundrel & Scamp for their third season. He studied theatre production & lighting design for four years at the University of Arizona. Past designs have included Cloud Soup; This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing; and Lovers: Part One at The Scoundrel & Scamp Theatre; Die Fleidermaus and The Magic Flute with The UA Opera Theatre; The Wizard of Oz and Peter Pan with CYT Tucson; and Oklahoma! as well as Boieng Boeing with Arizona Repertory Theatre.

Tiffer Hill
Tiffer is proud to be in his third season as resident stage manager at Scoundrel & Scamp. After a brief stint as a vocal performance major at the University of Arizona, he began working as a stagehand at the Gaslight Theatre starting in 2012. He continued working there full-time for the next five and a half years at the pace of at least eight shows a week, eventually stage managing 21 productions including favorites such as Arizona Smith and the Relic of Doom, Spider-Guy, and Ghostblasters!
Favorites from S&S’s past seasons include Mr Burns: a post-electric play, Lovers, and Oaf. Tiffer also served as lighting designer for the 2018 Tucson Fringe Festival and the 2018 and 2019 Bennett TheatreLab Festival of Plays. He is also excited for the opportunity to broaden his creative portfolio this season with sound design credits for Herman: The Naturalist and the upcoming Cloud Tectonics.
