Bios

Greg Pierotti

Greg Pierotti (Director) is directing the Scoundrel and Scamp Theatre for the first time. He is the co-writer of the plays The Laramie Project, Laramie: 10 Years Later,  The People’s Temple and the HBO teleplay The Laramie Project. For these works he received the Bay Area Theater Critics Award, a Will Glickman Award, and the Humanitas Prize, and received NY Drama Desk, Alpert and Emmy award nominations. His residencies as a playwright, dramaturge and director include Berkeley Rep’s Ground Floor, Sundance Theater Lab, and Maison Dora Maar. As an actor he has performed at Lincoln Center Theater, Brooklyn Academy of Music, La Jolla Playhouse, The Union Square Theater, to name a few. Greg Pierotti is an assistant professor of dramaturgy and collaborative playmaking at the University of Arizona. He has been a teacher of theatrical devising for twenty years.

Chris Will

Chris (Brian White) received his BFA in Theatre and Dance from the University of Wyoming followed by a Master of Performance in Musical Theatre from The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow, Scotland. While in the UK, Chris had the wonderful experience of working with some of the key producers and practitioners currently working in theatre – including Martin Lowe (MD Mama Mia) and was honored to represent the United States as Young Buddy in a West End star-studded production of Follies in Concert, which was specially arranged by Sir Cameron Mackintosh. Chris has also performed in several workshops for new musical theatre, including the opportunity of working with Jason Robert Brown. For the last 11 years he has been performing and directing professionally all around the world including two Off-Broadway shows (Time Being, and The Jungle Queen). Chris has been honored with his work at the collegiate level both in directing and performing with Meritorious Achievement Awards: Directing The Music Man & playing the role of Mary Sunshine in Chicago as a guest artist at the University of Wyoming. His greatest role he has played is husband and father to wife Beth, daughters Caitlin, Ashlee and Molly. Chris currently teaches theater at Pima Community College. This is Chris’ first show at The S&S Theatre.

Vaune Suitt

Vaune Suitt (Valerie Johnston) is currently a senior at the University of Arizona pursuing a degree in acting. She has been seen acting with the Rogue Theater in Celia, A Slave (Celia), and with Arizona Repertory Theater’s productions of Pippin (ensemble) and The Wolves (#00). Vaune was last seen at The S&S Theatre in our staged reading of The Trial of John Brown.

Lance Guzman

Lance Guzman (Jackson Moore) is on his 4th season with Scoundrel and Scamp. He played in, The Crack: Among Wild Animals, It Is Magic, The Little Prince, Salome, Mr. Burns: a post-electric play, The Scamp Radio (1/2) Hour and Blood Wedding. Other stage works he has been involved in are The University of Arizona productions of This Heart in My Mouth is Called Home, Giants Have Us in Their Books and Mother of Exiles. He has also been seen in The Rogue Theatre productions of Dutchman, Enemy of the People, and Moby Dick. Not only does he act on stage but he also has appeared in film for the University and the New York Film Academy. He is a University of Arizona graduate with a BA in Theatre Arts and a student of the Phil Bennett Theatre Lab. Lance loves making music, boxing training, and studying astronomy.

Mara Capati

Mara (Ginny Yang) is a local performer at various theaters in Tucson. She’s an instructor at CYT Tucson and recently played Johanna in Arts Express' production of Sweeney Todd. Last season, Mara was featured in SAPAC’s production of Title of Show as Heidi. This fall, she will be in “Smart People” at the Scoundrel and Scamp Theatre. Mara's favorite credits include Dolly in Hello, Dolly!, Aouda in Around the World in 80 Days, and Mina in Bram Stoker’s Dracula. At the Actor’s Guild of Parkersburg, she was the assistant director of To Kill a Mockingbird.

Sariya Jarasviroj Brown

Sariya (Stage Directions) has a deep passion for wine, food, and the rituals of the shared dinner table. As such, she co-founded Circo Vino in 2009. Circo Vino is a family-owned, national, wine-import portfolio focusing on artisanal, thoughtfully-farmed, wine with a specialization in wines from Austria.  A product of these global times, Sariya runs her international business from Tucson and distributes wine in twenty states.  She has become involved with wine trade advocacy through The US Wine Trade Alliance. Sariya volunteers on the boards of the Environmental Education Exchange and ZUZI! Dance Company. When she is not traveling to wave the flag for the wines she loves or cheering on her family’s many, awesome, endeavors, she can be found practicing piano, rock climbing, writing letters, and baking.  This is Sariya’s first production with The S&S Theatre.
