Learn to write plays for radio! Collaborate with other students to write your own short radio plays with the guidance of playwright and performer Wolfe Bowart. This virtual camp is recommended for students ages 8-18 who wish to learn about writing & performance for radio. Explore how to craft dialogue, how to write vibrant characters, and learn the art of foley and sound effects to build a rich sonic background for your story.

Once the plays have been created, the plays will be read by professional actors! The results will be edited by Wolfe into complete radio plays. Your plays will then be available online at the Scoundrel and Scamp Theatre!

Skills students will develop during this course:

  • Learn the difference between narrative writing and dialogue.

  • Participate in and learn about the process of writing a play, and ultimately a radio play.
