Claire Marie Mannle

Claire Marie Mannle (Director) is excited to be both acting (The Yellow Wallpaper) and directing for The Scoundrel and Scamp’s inaugural season. She last directed Nor Any Drop to Drink a devised play about water sustainability for the UA Studio Series.

Her acting work includes King Lear, The Grapes of Wrath, Macbeth, and The White Snake for The Rogue Theatre and The Tempest and The Comedy of Errors for Arizona Repertory Theatre. She is an Instructor for the School of Theatre, Film, and Television for The University of Arizona. A New York City native raised in the Midwest, she came to Tucson via Los Angeles where she worked with The Grand Guignolers, Cornerstone Theater Company, A Noise Within, The Antaeus Academy, and SITI Company. She has her MFA from the Dell’ Arte International School of Physical Theater and her BA from Smith College.

Adam Denoyer

Adam Denoyer (Matt) is a actor and improvisor, and soon to be Graduate of the University of Arizona. He is thankful to the University for all of the productions he has been cast in; Psycho Beach Party, Tribes, All in the Timing, Nor any Drop to Drink (directed by Claire Mannle), and Endgame. He performed in Cripple of Inishmaan at Live Theatre Workshop. And most recently he performed a piece Dawned at the Tucson Fringe Festival that he created with collaborators Ryuto Adamson, and Alex Ross; for which they were awarded Best New Play by the Festival! He is excited for this role in Mr. Burns and to be working on the premier season at S&S!

Nothing but gratitude to friends, family, guides, and those that have been all three.

Gabriella De brequet

Gabriella De Brequet (Jenny) has most recently appeared in The Scoundrel and Scamp's inaugural production of Salomé as Salomé, and The Love Talker as The Red Head as well as locally at The Rogue Theatre in Arcadia as Thomasina Coverly, Jerusalem as Tanya Crawley, The Bridge of San Luis Rey as Pepita, and Dante’s Purgatorio. Other credits include The Diary of Anne Frank as Anne Frank, The Caucasian Chalk Circle, Curtains the Musical as Niki Harris, The Jungle Book, and All Shook Up. Gabriella has studied with The Rogue Theatre in their intensive training programs with emphasis on Shakespeare, voice and movement, and impulse awareness. Gabriella would like to thank her family, friends and partner Tiffer Hill.

Leah Taylor

Leah Taylor (Maria) holds an MA in Theatre and Performance Studies from Washington University in St. Louis. A Tucson native, she has worked in Tucson's theatre community as a stage manager, assistant director, dramaturg, and performer. Most recently she appeared in Scoundrel & Scamp’s production of A Public Reading of an Unproduced Screenplay About the Death of Walt Disney and served as Assistant Director for Scoundrel & Scamp's Two Plays for Lost Souls. Before that she served as Stage Manager during The Rogue Theatre's 2011-2015 seasons. She recently returned from a summer abroad studying Shakespearean performance at Shakespeare's Globe in London.

Julia balestracci

Julia (Colleen) is thrilled to be back on the stage after a long hiatus.  An East Coast transplant, she has been involved in the performing arts in many capacities over the years, from acting and puppetry to Morris dancing to singing Hildegard von Bingen from the original 12th century notation.  She has performed at diverse venues including the Brooklyn Museum of Art, Harvard University, Avery Fisher Hall, and the Philadelphia Fringe Festival.  Julia is an Antiques Roadshow junkie and during any spare moment, there's a good chance you'll find her in a thrift store.

Sean Patrick

Sean Patrick (Sam) is a Tucson actor with degrees in Theatre Arts and French Language. He has performed onstage at Old Tucson Studios, Old Pueblo Playwrights, Live Theatre Workshops, as well as in schools throughout Tucson. As Education Director and ensemble member with Tucson’s Stories that Soar! he has the great fortune of creating community-sourced theatre for Tucson's youth, and experiences every day how performance can shape, define, and reflect community. Sean is therefore thrilled to have survived the apocalypse to perform alongside the wonderful cast of The Scoundrel & Scamp’s production of Mr. Burns, a post-electric play.

Lance Guzman

Lance Guzman (Gibson) is a UofA Graduate and has been a part of many Studio Series plays and films, including Giants Have Us in Their Books and This Heart in My Mouth is Called Home. He aspires to continue to work in theatre while pursuing a film acting career.

Matt Marcus

Matt Marcus (Sound Designer) is delighted to be working on this production of Mr. Burns.  He is the Faculty Sound Designer at the U of AZ School of Theatre where his recent credits include, The Merchant of Venice,  The Addams Family, and Evita. Other productions include Love, Sweet Love, a musical featuring the songs of Burt Bacharach and Hal David, along with national tours for Theater League, Theater of the Stars, and Dallas Summer Musicals.  On hiatus from his audio career in the late 20th century, Matt was Property Master for Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood. He is a member of the International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees, and is the President of Local 415.

Bryan Rafael Falcón

Bryan (Set Designer) is Co-founder and Artistic Director at the Scoundrel & Scamp Theatre.  Bryan is an award-winning director (MFA Directing, Western Illinois, 2001) and tech entrepreneur with a passion for both education and building and scaling successful organizations.  

At the S&S Bryan has directed Two Plays for Lost Souls: The Love Talker & The Yellow Wallpaper and A Public Reading of an Unproduced Screenplay About the Death of Walt Disney, for which he won the 2017 Arizona Daily Star Mac Award for Best Director.

Bryan served as Artistic Director for two Indiana-based theatre companies, New World Arts and the Backporch Theatre Company. He served as a director and set designer for numerous shows, including The Carthaginians, Lysistrata, Cloud Tectonics, Night Mother, Bug, Marisol, Love Letters, Comedy of Errors, Twelfth Night, The Taming of the Shrew, and Romeo and Juliet.

In Tucson, Bryan has directed at The Rogue Theatre, including The New Electric Ballroom and Awake and Sing. He was recognized as Best Director (2012 Arizona Daily Star Mac Award) for the show The Night Heron.

Bryan serves as board Vice-Chair of the Tucson-based Southwest Folklife Alliance, and as a board member at The Rogue Theatre. 

CHLOE LOOS

CHLOE LOOS (Dramaturg) is a recent graduate of the University of Arizona’s BA Theatre and Film program, and has kept herself extremely busy doing theatre all over Tucson. This is her second dramaturgy credit with the Scoundrel and Scamp, as she also worked on Salome. She just opened Roadrunner Theatre’s Perfect Timing, which she directed, is serving as the production assistant and stage manager Borderlands Theater’s second iteration of Barrio Stories, and is working as the instructional specialist for the University of Arizona’s Classics Department’s production of Seneca’s Agamemnon (which will be performed in this space on April 27th). Previous projects include the devised piece, Identity, at the Etcetera branch of Live Theatre Workshop, as well as costumes for Seminar and The House of Blue Leaves, dramaturg for production of Salome and Winding Road Theatre’s The Fantasticks, for which she also did props.
