Our September salon is our artist spotlight on Wolfe Bowart, one of the creative minds behind the wildly popular OAF and the triple-threat writer, director, and actor in the smash hit Cloud Soup. Inspired by early cinema and stage magicians, Wolfe has traveled the world pursuing his art, from busking on the streets of Europe, to screenwriting in Hollywood, to performing his acclaimed, award-winning, physical theatre one-man shows across the world to crowds of thousands.

In June the Scoundrel and Scamp Theatre received a PIVOT grant from the Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona to create new innovative content in the time of COVID. One of the resulting projects is a series of short interviews to tell the stories about the incredible lives of the Artistic Associates of The Scoundrel and Scamp Theatre.

This salon we share with you the first of these videos, a premiere of the interview with Wolfe Bowart.

delving into the mind of the magical physical theatre creator

We will learn about the inspirations, the history and the vision of this loved artist. Following the video Wolfe will be joined by Dell'Arte International trained performer and scholar Claire Marie Mannle for a panel discussion. The event is hosted by Marcel Marceau trained physical theatre performer and educator Lorie Heald.
