Scoundrel and Scamp COVID-19 Response

Posted: March 17, 2020

To our community of Scoundrel and Scamps.

In an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, and following the recommendations of the CDC, and local government and health authorities, The Scoundrel and Scamp Theatre has made the difficult decision to suspend the remainder of our 2019-2020 season.

For Ada and the Engine, which was scheduled to run March 26th - April 12th, and Letter’s End which was slated to run May 15 - 31, we plan to run as part of our 20/21 season. While later than anticipated, The S&S is excited to share these fabulous performances as a part of a future season. We will be reaching out to ticket holders of these respective productions to exchange or credit tickets appropriately.

Our 2020/21 season announcement, which was imminent, will be delayed a bit longer as we rework our schedule to accomodate these most recent changes. Our 2020/21 auditions will be announced at that same time.

The performing arts of Tucson, which depends on the gathering of community in order for the magic of theater to happen, is impacted in particular by the necessities of social distancing. If you are considering supporting local theater professional and artists, at Scoundrel & Scamp or otherwise, this is a good time to assist.

We have been struck, in recent days, by the strength and the resilience of our amazing Tucson performing arts community. We thank you so much for the notes of support and the understanding while we bridge this challenging time. We look forward to opening our doors to you again.

Until then,
Bryan, Elizabeth and your friends at The Scoundrel and Scamp
