Brontë
by Polly Teale
In 1845, Branwell Brontë returns home to his sisters in disgrace, plagued by his addictions and the scandals in which he is mired. As he descends into alcoholism and insanity, bringing chaos to the household, Charlotte, Emily, and Anne plot… and write. Polly Teale's extraordinary play evokes the real and imagined worlds of the Brontës, as the fictional characters come to haunt their creators.
'Riveting... a tantalizing glimpse through the window of a uniquely haunted family home.' - The Times
Please join us for a pre-show talk on the Brontë sisters’ literature and their legacies with Dr. Betsy Labiner on Sunday, February 26, at 1:30 PM.
